Don’t Talk About Sex, Baby: Bachelor Fantasy Week

After the least dramatic season yet, Zach’s three final women are ready to see if their chemistry holds up when the cameras are off. Last season, on the Bachelorette, Zach was sent home after his fantasy suite date with Rachel Recchia.

Possibly inspired by this, Zach made a pact to himself to avoid having sex during the show’s notorious “sex week.” But ARIEL makes him think differently, admitting his restraint has been questioned by their physical chemistry.

During their date in Thailand, I loved their connection and curiosity when together. A date that normally stirs up disgust at the exotic and unfamiliar foods presented, Zack and ARIEL just ate and explored and enjoyed with open expectations. It was refreshing.

At dinner, ARIEL admits that she’s falling in love with Zach—and told her mom during Hometowns the week before. And while Zach doesn’t say it back, he does reassure her that he does see a possible future with her. He tells her about his sex pact, but they still get plenty steamy in the pool and when waking up together.

The next day, GABI and Zach sail off to go swimming off the coast of their own private island. And when GABI opens up about feeling insecure and “chosen second,” he reassures her and even chases after her when taking a private moment. Talk about 180 from every other woman sent home this season! I guess the connection didn’t really stand up with them. GABI and Zach feel secure and in love.

During their night portion, GABI also opens up about falling in love with Zach and he’s speechless, describing them like a puzzle. GABI is thrown off by Zach’s no-sex pact, but understands—that is until the doors actually close.

During their rainforest date, Zach opens up to KAITY about having sex with GABI despite making a pact not to have sex with any of the. It’s emotional. While it’s one thing to think your boyfriend is sleeping with someone else, it’s another to have him tell you. It throws a wrench in their romantic date, both of them crying.

For the night portion, KAITY shows up but she doesn’t seem happy or interested, but they end up making up. They talk it out. I think it shows the strength of their relationship.
